Way to Connect Color Changing LED Strip Lights:

It is often the most reliable way to join two LED strips. But it is time-consuming, requires special equipment, and requires some skill.

Clips are faster and require no skill. So, if you have easy access to the strips, we recommend using clips (most installations).

However, the connections made with clips are not as permanent as solder. They are susceptible to corrosion and movement.

As a result, I recommend using solder if the strips may experience:

  1. Whether – any installation outdoors, or heating and cooling that could create condensation
  2. Motion – any flexible channel or location susceptible to vibrations
  3. Permanent – encapsulated in epoxy or another material

Installation of Color Changing LED strip lights:

The best way to install an LED strip is in an aluminum channel.

Channels are available with angled or straight, diffuser caps, or clear caps. Make sure the channels fit the strip as they come in different widths.

Using a hacksaw or electric miter saw, you can cut soft aluminum channels. A multi-tooth carbide blade is required when using a miter saw.

Once cut to size, you can use the screws to attach the duct securely.

Installing (https://www.lepro.com) LED strips lights inside a channel has the following benefits:

  • Allows the strip’s adhesive to form a secure, long-lasting bond due to its uniform surface.
  • Aluminum serves as a heatsink and helps dissipate heat for longer LED life.
  • Plastic covers diffuse light. As a result, uniform illumination is achieved.
  • The covers will also keep the strip from getting damaged by dust.
  • The channels’ clean lines help give the installation a more polished appearance when the LED strips are visible.
