a. What Colour Skins would I like?
Nowadays – it’s possible to choose from a range of coloured skins to fit the exterior of your Photo Booth. The most popular three styles are “Showbiz” (see the picture above), “Matte Black” or “Classic White”. The Showbiz skins provide an almost cinematic look, whilst the Matte Black and Classic White skins provide more of an original, clean feel.
b. Do I need a Guestbook?
If you are hosting a Wedding Reception, the answer to this question is almost certainly “yes”. However, these books also serve as brilliant memoirs for other events such as Birthday Parties, Proms and Leaving Dos. The way these books work is very simple. Once your guests have finished taking their photos, the operator will print an additional photo – and subsequently glue it into the guestbook. Once inserted, the guests from the aforementioned photo will be invited to leave a customised message to the Bride & Groom, or Birthday Person; serving as a perfect book of memories forevermore!
c. What do I want my Template to Look like?
As of 2019, you are also able to fully customise how your print out templates look. Simply decide on a colour scheme, whether there is to be any branding, custom logos or signs and inform the design team. You will also need to decide whether it needs to have any text on the prints. The most common lines will be the name of the event, and the date. For instance: “Amy & Tim’s Wedding”, with the subsequent line beneath it reading: “24th July, 2020”. Once the design team has finished their draft, they will send this over to you for approval. From there, simply send over any adjustments and they will continue to revise until it’s complete! 2. High Quality Sound Services
Did you know that nowadays, many brides and grooms opt to have their Wedding Ceremonies and Receptions at the same venue? The old method of having the Ceremony at a church, and the Reception at another venue is dying out quickly – as guests do not want to have to make the long trip between venues, particularly if they have already travelled. So why not consider having your Ceremony at the same venue? You will of course, need to check if the venue has suitable sound equipment to fulfil this. For Weddings, a popular package can also be quite a simple one. All you need is 2-4 speakers (depending on the size of your venue), stands for said speakers, a lapel (or lavalier microphone) for the Priest or Wedding Officiant, and 2 Handheld Microphones for the Bride and Groom. All of this will be managed by a competent Sound Technician, who will ensure that everyone can be heard and that there isn’t any annoying feedback screeching into everyone’s ears!
3. Venue Uplighting
Transforming your venue is no easy task, but luckily, we now have Wireless Uplights in our industry! These tremendous little lights can literally transform the entire look of a venue with the click of a button.
Simply place any number of the Uplights around the room, and discuss which colour you would like with the operator or delivery driver. The lights usually come in packages of 6, 8, 12, 18 or 24. How many you need will depend entirely on the size of the room – and equally if there are any pillars or other features which you would like to be well-lit. Also consider that you may wish to have different colours set for various times of the day.
