But cleaning your bathroom does not mean that you have to spend hours on your hands and knees scrubbing every single inch of your bathroom. There are plenty of ways that you can give your bathroom a good cleaning and still have time for all of your other activities.

If you want to learn how to clean your bathroom without spending an entire day doing so, you need to use the following tips:

How to clean your bathroom

Minute One: Declutter.

The first minute of your bathroom cleaning needs to be spent decluttering. Pick towels and clothes up off the floor and put them in the hamper. Put your makeup, razor, curling iron or anything else that is on your countertop where it belongs. If you can spend a minute putting everything where it belongs, the rest of your bathroom cleaning will be a cinch.

Minute Two: Wipe downs.

The second minute of your bathroom cleaning should be spent on giving everything and good wipe down. Toss some toilet bowl cleaner (or baking soda or bleach) in the toilet and let it sit while you wipe down everything else. Use a bathroom cleaner or vinegar in a spray bottle and spray down your shower. The nice thing about shower cleaning is you can let the cleaner sit in your shower without washing it down. This will be taken care of the next time you shower. Use the same bathroom cleaner to spray down your countertops and outside of the toilet, then use a cloth to wipe everything down. Grab your toilet brush and give the inside of you toilet a nice scrub too.

Minute Three: Think mirrors.

Minute three is dedicated to your bathroom mirrors (and if you don’t have a large or multiple mirrors, you can use part of minute three to finish the tasks from minute two). Spray down your mirrors with a glass cleaner and wipe down the mirrors. You may have to scrub to get the toothpaste and hair spray/hair product residue off of them.

Minute Four: Straighten up.

Make sure that you have enough toilet paper on the roll and an ample supply of backups. Place a new towel on the holder, fold any clean towels and change out any air fresheners that may be old. Use this minute to tidy up any last minute areas.

Minute Five: Clean the floors.

The last minute of your five-minute bathroom cleaning should be spent on the floor. Move your garbage can (and empty it too) and pick up everything off the floor. Use a broom or Swiffer vacuum to sweep down the floor first, and then use a ready mop, such as a Swiffer Wet Jet to give your bathroom floor a good cleaning. Once it’s done, put the garbage can and everything else from the floor back where it belongs.

Cleaning your bathroom in five minutes is easy to do, and if you follow this five-minute procedure every day, you will never have to spend a long period of time scrubbing down your bathroom ever again.
